Zdeněk Přikryl

Zdeněk, the CTO of Codasip, has over 20 years of experience in processor design, including general-purpose and application-specific instruction set processor designs, from small and simple MCUs, RISCs, to highly complex DSPs/VLIWs. Zdeněk has been also involved in embedded systems design (software and hardware) and driving R&D activities for many years. He created and introduced the technology and methodology used in Codasip’s unique processor design tools and RISC-V processor IPs.

Karel Masařík

He led the development of Codasip’s underlying technologies as part of the ApS Brno incubator and then founded Codasip in 2014. Codasip launched its processor development toolset, Codasip Studio, in 2014 and announced its first RISC-V processor core in late 2015. He has led the company through its seed funding round in 2014, series a round in 2018 and has overseen its international expansion.

Earlier he undertook research in the use of architecture description languages and design automation at Brno University of Technology. This included research into hardware/software co-design as well as formal and functional verification of processor designs. He achieved a Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2008.

Ron Black

Dr. Black has over 30 years of industry experience. Before joining Codasip, he has been President and CEO at Imagination Technologies and previously CEO at Rambus, MobiWire, UPEK, and Wavecom. He holds a BS and MS in Engineering and a Ph.D. in Materials science from Cornell University. A consistent thread of his career has been processors including PowerPC at IBM, network processors at Freescale, security processors at Rambus, and GPUs at Imagination.
