What is networking?

As pertaining to computing, the field of networking encompasses the technologies and practices around connecting separate computing devices in order to share the data and resources among them. Networking enables devices such as computers, servers, smartphones, and other devices to communicate with each other, exchange information, and access shared resources.

Ethernet is one of the prominent technologies used in networking, particularly for wired connections within a Local Area Network (LAN).
